Article 7. Scope of Powers

7.01. This Church is authorized to conduct the Church functions it determines to be necessary, so long as they are in accordance with the Law of One and the ways of the positive path.

7.02. Such activities may include, but are not limited to:.

(a) Conducting Church services and other worship activities;

(b) Educating students, congregants, and seekers of truth in spiritual principles;

(c) Serving as a repository of spiritual study literature and disseminating it as God makes it possible;

(d) Recording and/or publishing the experiences of the community in word, song, or other media, to be an inspiration and an encouragement to others for similar communities and local church congregations;

(e) Opening financial accounts such as bank accounts, brokerage accounts or other investment accounts;

(f) The purchase or acquisition - by gifts, bequests, or otherwise - either directly or as a trustee, to own, hold in trust, use, sell, convey, mortgage, lease, or otherwise dispose of any real estate or chattels that may be necessary for the furtherance of its purpose;

(g) The purchase, lease, or rental of congregational meeting facilities and work facilities for ministries;

(h) The purchase, lease, or rental of necessary equipment, musical instruments, vehicles, supplies, implements or tools, and any and all other forms of property, both real and personal;

(i) The care, remuneration, or compensation of those laboring in Church service;

(j) The distribution of tangible and intangible gifts or benevolent charities;

(k) As well as any other necessary and appropriate financial transactions of the Church, acting through its governing body, for the initiation, promotion, expansion, and continuation of its activities.
