Article 1. Name

1.01. Church Name. The name of our Church is TOTOH.

1.02. Temple. We also refer to this Church as a Temple from time to time. We hold the two terms to be synonymous regarding their essential nature and purpose as forms through which we organize our shared purpose. In all cases, whether the term “Church” or “Temple” is used to describe the organization, it should be understood that we intend to invoke the qualities of an independent, lawful entity that is conventionally and historically referred to as a Church.

1.03. Meaning. TOTOH is an acronym for Temple of the Open Heart. Temple of the Open Heart is a metaphor, representing a metaphysical container dedicated to the highest and best possible outcome for Earth and humanity. We earnestly and faithfully undertake this holy work with the intention that love, peace, and social harmony may become fully established in the world.
